Our third great grandchild was born yesterday.
She is quite small, weighing in at 4lb 15oz and, as she is having trouble feeding, is in a Special Unit but it is hoped she will be back on the Ward later today.
I've no doubt she is going to be a handful, the little tinker was breach and refused to turn so Mum needed a Caesarean.
Her name is Emie, welcome to the world darling girl, wishing you a life of love and happiness.
Now I have to get ready as, in a couple of hours, I have an appointment with my MP, Mr. Ed Miliband, to give him the Jigsaw piece I have made for him, to remind him he is a piece of the solution to world hunger and of all the babies in the world who aren't as lucky as Emie. I think hunger will be on his mind as he is spending the morning at local supermarkets collecting food for our local food banks.
The IMApiece art installation was unveiled in Manchester last Friday and I'm proud to be part of this initiative which is raising awareness of the world hunger problems, but it is only a beginning.
Thank you for all the kind birthday wishes on my last post and a, belated, welcome to my newest follower, Teresa, you can find her lovely blog here.
Freezing weather on its way to the UK so get yourselves wrapped up well and, whatever you are doing, I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Carol xx
p.s. If you have a minute, don't forget to sign the Save the Children "Race Against Hunger" petition.

Congratulations to you all - hope Mum recovers quickly and that Emie (what a sweet name!) is soon feeding well. Hope the meeting with Mr Milliband went well!

Congratulations, Carol, on the birth of Emie. Such a sweet name. Today is National Women's Day in the US, and in Italy, perhaps in the UK too? We woke up to several inches of snow this morning and freezing temperature. Spring in just 13 more days. xo
Congratulations to you all on your new addition! Lovely creations you've made and I hope your MP appreciates your thoughtful work. Have a lovely weekend Carol.xx
Congratulations on your new granddaughter! I hope she soon is feeding well and on her way home with her mama. Have a wonderful weekend!
Congratulations! I hope her feeding gets better soon. My babies were both early and small so I understand. Good luck with your meeting with the MP!
Congratulations to the family! I just love the name Emie. I have always loved it. I hope she is doing better by now and perfectly well very soon.
Blessings,
Betsy
